ARCATA THEATRE LOUNGE

ARCATA, CA

Daddy Issues is my first full length album. It is the culmination of a year's work since I recorded “Hilarious Things” last November ( which can be downloaded for free at http://www.mattgubser.com/hilarious-things-ep/)

For those of you who don't know me:

Matt performs at clubs and comedy festivals across the Western US, including San Francisco Sketchfest, the Sacramento Comedy Festival, S.H.I.T.S. and Giggles Comedy Festival, & Santa Cruz Fringe Fest. He is part of the Ha Ha Heathens Comedy Tour, co-produces “It’s Just Two Minutes,” a monthly comedy show in San Francisco, and is a contributor to Savage Henry magazine, blah blah blah, compulsory marketing BS. You probably didn't even read this far. Just look at the videos. You'll be fine.

With Matt Lieb

San Francisco comedy blog Courting Comedy calls Matt Lieb “extremely talented, charmingly dark and genuinely pleasant.”

Matt Lieb took 1st Place at the 2013 Rooster-T-Feathers Comedy Comedy Competition in Sunnyvale, beating out nearly a hundred other comics.

His jokes have been featured on Rooftopcomedy.com and the front page of Reddit.com

He has also performed at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, the Santa Cruz fringe festival, and Humboldt County’s own S.H.I.T.S & Giggles Comedy Festival in Arcata, California. He co-produces the weekly comedy showcase “The Mission Position” in San Francisco’s mission district as well as the monthly comedy show “Lieber Fever.”

HUMBREWS

ARCATA, CA

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2013

It's another night of fantastic comedy at Humbrews!! We only bring you the best comedians, picked at the peak of their ripeness and shipped directly to Arcata.

Headliner Caitlin Gill returns to Humboldt to destroy everyone that gets in her way. And she's bringing Ivan Hernandez with her, to hold them down.

Caitlin was a performer at the Outside Lands Festival in 2012, she has been in SF Sketchfest every year since 2007, performed in the Vancouver Global Comedy Fest, was host of the 2009 SF Women’s Comedy Competition and The Ladies Room Open Mic and Showcase. Her writing has been featured in a Believer Magazine project for 826LA. She has worked with some of the best talent in the industry, including Robin Williams, Bobcat Goldthwait, Hannibal Burress, Kyle Kinane, Marc Maron, W. Kamau Bell, Todd Barry, Doug Benson, Arj Barker, Tony Camin, Tig Notaro and too many other names to drop here. 7x7 Magazine featured her as one of the 7 Comics Rocking the Local Scene in July 2011. She was the Tourettes Without Regrets 2011 Slam Champion and a competitor at the 2011 National Poetry Slam.

Ivan was born in New Jersey in the eighties and was mostly bored until starting comedy in his late teens. His style is marked mostly by self-deprecation, dryness, and yelling. Favorite topics include comic books, food, women, and any intersections of the three. Some of the places he’s played include the Florida Improvs, the Purple Onion, Florida International University, the Florida Supercon comic book convention, the 2009 South Beach Comedy Festival and the 2011 Bridgetown Comedy Festival. He’s been featured in the Miami New Times as part of the Nerd Comics Tour and in the East Bay Express, and played Albert Einstein in a production of Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile. After a long stretch of living in Florida, he resides in San Francisco.

Hosted by Tony Persico, with local comedians Ivy Vasquez and John Mcclurg, only $7. There is no better deal on any show in the known universe!
